So this just happened:
"You Are Now an AIPP Licentiate (APP.L)"
The Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) is an organisation I've been proud to be part of since starting my photography career. It provides a forum and backdrop to continual learning, support, and acknowledgement of standards for Pro Photographers and the industry generally.
I received this recently and proud to share. After more than 30 years professionally photographing families around the world it never ceases to be a thorough joy to be part of families lives, watching them grow and creating work they can enjoy long after me!
To define this new status the following was given:
"This designation is a mark of respect and recognition of your seniority and experience..."
“A licentiate is a person who has a formal attestation of professional competence, borne from experience, to not only practice a profession, but also to teach, educate and mentor others in the profession.”
To those looking for professional photography I highly recommend checking for members of the AIPP. The code of ethics, standards and expertise encouraged are just some of the areas all members are held to, and your guarantee of professional service.
To all those who continue to share, teach and inspire others through our organisation, thank you. There's ALWAYS something new to learn and more to give and share for all to enjoy.
