Toe Fishing!

A new "Pic of the Month" - a delightful serene scene of two young children with their big brother along the riverbank. Together with their family we enjoyed the lovely surrounds of creek, park, an old stone bridge and cameo appearances of local ducks.
This local park is one of my favourites for the area. The serenity of the image really has a great "feel" to it - that extra quality that makes a picture into a lovely portrait with personality. Shooting across the creek does need a quick preplanning chat with our young (and older) stars with the image already in mind, as there's little you can do when a very active 18month old decides she's "done this now" and she's off for the next park attraction! It's the small moments of time amongst the bustle of young lives that is the challenge (and fun!) of photographing children and families.

We've created some gorgeous cards for use with images to give away to your friends and relatives this year, and we like them so much it would be great to see more people receive them. So... for all new sessions photographed before Christmas this year we are GIVING AWAY personalised, custom gift cards for you to share and enjoy. With Christmas "around the corner" (did I really say that?... well it IS only 10 weeks away...) I hope we can add a little extra smile and fun. Please remember to book early if possible... all good things do take some time - cards and portrait gifts all need to be individually designed, printed, checked, etc etc... (not to mention all the preparation work of planning your session, photographing and choosing...)
Of course gift cards can also be created for other special reasons, general holiday greetings, or just to be nice! ;-)

Website updates bring fresh looks to Private Collections!

"Construction Site"!... Welcome to a new look web site for Private Collections Photography. Over the next few weeks we'll be adding, tweaking, changing and creating content around here... all aimed at providing more example images to enjoy, and pass on news of projects and events. There is a lot to cover with content being merged from our old site(s). To our current clients looking for your online album portfolios of recent sessions you can find the link on the "Online Client Albums" page. This will currently open a separate window to your login page.
There are a number of promotions coming up (just in time for the summer holiday season!) so please visit again to find out. Even easier - find the link to our RSS feed and be updated as new posts are added.
